How PKMJ came about

The unit was initiated by Wan Mohd Asri bin Wan Ismail and Mr Tetsuo Kobayashi of Japan Travel Bureau (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. after observing the development of the Cultural and Educational Exchange segment in Malaysia.

Later on the idea was supported by Japan Travel Bureau (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.'s employees that lead to the establishment of this non profit unit on the 23rd June 2000.

The unit was sponsored by Japan Travel Bureau (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (JTB) and majority of its volunteers happened to be employees of JTB.

Equipped with the pool of experience, skill and knowledge gathered from the volunteers and the vast experienced Patron, Chairman and Panel of Advisers, it is hoped that the unit would be able to contribute to this segment.

Supports from government, various institutions, agencies, statutory bodies, corporations and individual at large would greatly assists this unit to meet its objective.

We sincerely appreciates and thanks for all such supports, understanding and cooperation given to this unit.
